A timely reminder of why we all need to stay vigilant and keep an eye out for predatory planning applications at the edge of our boundary. This was one of our biggest fears and exactly why we fought so hard together to prevent an anaerobic plant being sited so close to our homes and watercourses.
Absolutely tragic for the local biodiversity affecting a multitude of aquatic, animal and plant life and one has to wonder how many years will this watercourse be critically polluted if indeed, it ever fully recovers?
As the local resident that sent me this link said today, “we dodged a bullet”.
How right that lady is.
