Green Wheel Water Leak – Update

Green Wheel Water Leak – UpdateYou’ll recall that Anglian Water stated that the leak was not mains or sewerage water but probably drain or a natural outlet and closed the job. Regrettably I had to escalate the problem and involve the council’s highways team and finally today after more survey work, Anglian Water have confirmed that the origin of the leak is indeed a mains water leak on their system. The fault is exacerbated by the close proximity of a gas main so both Utility companies are working on a plan.Highways have advised today that the footpath/cycleway will have to be closed when the work begins although no date has been advised as yet.
