Peterborough City Council win the Royal Town Planning Institute East of England Regional Planning Achievement Award 2014
It was a real honour and privilege to receive the award on behalf of Peterborough but the City Council only played a part in what was a far bigger story.
If it were not for Michelle King the Chair of Little Miracles, approaching the BBC’s DIY SOS team so that a brand new facility could be built to provide a new home for the charity ‘Little Miracles’ then this wouldn’t have happened.
Little Miracles provides support for families that have children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions.
Huge thanks go to John Slater from Stewart Milne Homes and their Timber Systems Division, The Ground Works Team from GKL, Kathryn Slater from Eclipse Planning and of course the army of volunteers and businesses and Peterborough City Council staff that made it all possible.
