I am receiving complaints about the late night noise from contractors working ‘after midnight’ and ASB into the early hours around the service station particularly the night kiosk from neighbouring residents.
I am very disappointed with Applegreen’s attitude to their neighbours. Although the idea of a Subway has been warmly welcomed compared to the previous idea of a Burger King, the fact they have just railroaded through the alterations without planning permission (which they are now having to submit retrospectively after my intervention), it is looking more and more at this stage as though I will have to object to the retrospective application and as the ward councillor refer it to the planning committee for their decision. I will also seek a restriction in trading hours with the licensing team if they don’t soon start listening and to those affected.
I have today requested the senior planning officer look into this unacceptable construction noise reported as occurring into the early hours and the rise in ASB complaints from neighbours while we await the planning application.
If you too are being affected in any way by the changes please don’t leave it to others, please let me know.
