Successful Park Farm 20mph zone comes into force today

The biggest single request received during my campaign.

After successfully securing funding and the traffic order from PCC for the 20mph zone along Park Farm Crescent and a section of Park Farm Way, we decided to involve the children of Heritage Park Primary School by way of a competition, the four winners having their design put on the signs encouraging drivers to slow down.

The signs have been erected and the traffic order comes into force today. Many thanks to the PCC officers, Cabinet Member for Housing, Neighbourhoods and Planning – Peter Hiller, Heritage Park Primary School teachers, children and governors and the many local parents and residents for their huge support with this pledge.

More on the school children’s competition will follow soon after the awards ceremony later this week.
